Terms and Conditions

At Recover & Revive, appointments are carefully scheduled to ensure each client receives the time and care they deserve.
These policies are designed to protect both client and therapist and to ensure the smooth, professional running of the clinic.

Bookings and Payments

  • A valid debit or credit card is required to secure all bookings.

  • No payment is taken at the time of booking. Your card is securely held on file via Jane App.

  • Payments are processed in-clinic after your appointment or automatically if you choose contactless checkout.

  • By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged 100% of the appointment fee.

  • Failure to attend without notice (“no-show”) will also incur the full appointment fee, charged to the card on file.

  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, charged in full, to avoid impacting the next client.

Refunds

  • Refunds are not available for missed, late, or short-notice cancellations.

  • Refunds are not offered once a treatment has been provided.

  • If the clinic cancels a session due to illness or emergency, you will be offered the choice to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise.

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and hold no cash value.

  • They may be used toward any treatment or product offered by Recover & Revive at the time of redemption.

  • Gift cards must be presented at the time of payment and cannot be replaced if lost or expired.

  • Promotional or discounted gift cards cannot be combined with other offers.

Memberships and Packages

  • Memberships are managed by the client; it is the client’s responsibility to book their sessions within the relevant time frame.

  • Missed or unused sessions cannot be rolled over, refunded, or credited to a future period.

  • Memberships and packages are non-transferable unless agreed by the clinic in advance.

  • Regular attendance ensures you gain the full benefit of your membership plan.

Health, Safety and Scope of Practice

  • All clients must complete accurate intake and consent forms prior to treatment.

  • It is your responsibility to inform the therapist of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or recent changes to health before each session.

  • Some conditions may require GP or specialist approval before treatment can proceed safely.

  • Treatments are carried out within Shanai’s current qualifications and scope of practice as a Soft Tissue Therapist trained in medical dry needling and women’s-health-focused techniques.

  • Recover & Revive is not responsible for any adverse reactions, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, or lack of expected improvement, as treatment outcomes vary between individuals.

  • Advice or information provided during treatment does not replace medical assessment or diagnosis.

Dry Needling and Medical Acupuncture

  • Performed only after informed consent and within current professional scope.

  • This is a Western medical technique, not traditional Chinese acupuncture.

  • All procedures follow strict hygiene and safety protocols, using single-use sterile needles.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

  • MLD is a gentle technique that supports the body’s lymphatic and circulatory systems.

  • It is not a substitute for medical management of lymphoedema or other diagnosed conditions.

  • Clients must disclose any recent surgery, infection, or active illness prior to treatment.

Professional Conduct

  • Professional boundaries are maintained at all times.

  • Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and the full fee charged.

  • Future bookings may be declined.

  • The clinic operates in accordance with UK GDPR and professional confidentiality standards.

Liability Disclaimer

  • While every care is taken to ensure treatments are appropriate and delivered safely, Recover & Revive and Shanai Luckham accept no liability for any injury, deterioration, or delay in recovery arising from the use or misuse of treatment, advice, or information provided.

  • Clients attend and receive treatment entirely at their own risk.

  • You are encouraged to consult your GP or healthcare provider for medical advice regarding diagnosis or ongoing health conditions.

Location and Arrival

  • Recover & Revive is located inside P.I.LATES Studio, Normandy House, Cheltenham.

  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment, as there is no waiting area.

  • Arrival and access details are included in your booking confirmation.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • Client data is securely stored within Jane App, compliant with UK GDPR regulations.

  • Personal and health information will never be shared without written consent, except where legally required (e.g. safeguarding).

Payments and Processing

  • Payments are securely processed through Jane App, which uses Stripe as the integrated payment provider.

  • In-person card transactions may also be processed through Square, depending on your preferred payment method at the time of your appointment.

  • All payment information is encrypted and stored securely by Stripe or Square — Recover & Revive does not have access to your full card details.

  • Both Stripe and Square are Level 1 PCI-DSS compliant, meeting the highest security standards for card processing.

  • You may see “Stripe” or “Square” referenced on your bank statement when paying for a treatment, membership, or product.

  • By booking or purchasing through Recover & Revive, you consent to your payment being processed via these trusted third-party platforms in accordance with their privacy policies.

  • By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you:

  • Have read and understood these policies;

  • Consent to treatment within the therapist’s professional scope; and

  • Accept the cancellation, payment, and liability terms above.
